This Wiki is to help Shorter University English students study for the Capstone Experience/ Oral Exit Exam.
The Exit Exam[]
Each student in the English Department at Shorter, whether just English or English Education, is required to write a Capstone essay and take the Oral Exit Exam. The Oral Exit Exam is an hour long conversation with three professors from the English department that quizzes the student over the works on the Reading List. Each professor represents one of the major areas of study: American Literature, British Literature, or World Literature. The exam also usually manages to incorporate the topic from the student's Capstone essay.
